Research Interests:

A Model of the Radial Component of the Earth's Magnetic Field at the CMB:

I am a graduate student researcher (GSR) affiliated with the Whole Earth Geophysics Research Group at IGPP, working on my masters thesis. I study geomagnetism and my advisors are Bob Parker and Cathy Constable. My thesis deals with the robust estimation of the crustal spherical harmonic power spectrum from MAGSAT and ØRSTED vector and scalar data which will characterize the crustal magnetic field in the spectral domain. This work is supported by a NASA grant and is being carried out in conjunction with Mike Purucker at Goddard Space Flight Center.
